Jesus’ template: Matt. 5
The world’s expectation:
Fight back.
Have money.
Know your way.
Wise up.
Have connection.
Jesus’ way:
Be gentle as a dove.
Gentle response.
Jesus is the way.
Be wise in God.
Connect yourself with God.
How to Navigate This World in Peace without violence:
1. Give your life to Christ and allow the Holy Spirit to minister in you. Gal. 5:22-24
2. Fight in the place of prayer - Daniel, Esther
3. Be good to everyone.
4. Set clear boundaries and be clear about your identity.
5. Be a solution provider (that is how Joseph and Daniel conquered).
6. Sometimes you don’t fight but retreat.
7. Don’t be gullible, be sensitive and ask for discerning spirit. Don’t ignore warning signs.
8. Watch your association. Prov. 13:20
9. Ask for wisdom: Know when to leave, know when to speak, know when to remain silent and know how to ask for help.
10. Have a mentor or an accountability partner.
Don’t let the world control you; you are not of this world. Rom. 12:1-2. Our strength is self-control.
Christianity does not teach cowardice. Remember you are a light, so shine.
What people should say about you:
She is peaceful but not foolish.
He is gentle but he is not weak.
She is humble but she knows her worth.
He does not look for trouble but he will stand for what is right.
Declaration:
I am filled with the Holy Spirit.
I have self-control.
I manifest peace and I can respond back.
I have the ability to respond.
I choose wisdom.
I know what I have.
I know my boundaries.
I can say no.
I recognise danger and I will not allow myself or others to be unnecessarily harmed.
I am a light and I will shine, regardless of what people say or do.
