Text: Song of Solomon 3-4
August 8th 2026
Our Father we thank you for everything you have done for us individually and collectively. We return tonight like the one leper to thank you for another privilege to seat at your feet and learn of you. We ask that you bless us tonight and give us help. We ask all these in Jesus name. Amen
From chapter 3 of Songs of Solomon, we discovered something very profound and that a bribe went at night in search of her groom
She didn't care about the time, danger or mishap that could happen to her but her focus was on her missing groom
This demonstrates the love God has towards us and unbelievers
It shows the extent God can go just for a soul to be saved
As Christians, it brings to mind the question What is our heart disposition for lost souls? Are we doing everything we can to see souls saved or we are just comfortable we are save? Think about it
Maybe you are passionate for souls and you sometimes get discouraged, please don't be discourage. I feel this way sometimes
If God is not tired of waking us up, we should not be tired of what brings God joy
If you read vs 5 of chapter 3, it says we should not awaken love
Friends, as simple as this may sound, let's be guided
No superman or superwoman in this
All the relationships I had including my wife, my parents were aware
I don't hide it because they can see what I'm not seeing
They can guide my decision
We discovered that the groom took time to describe his bride
My fellow men, those sweet words you used on her during courtship, please don't stop in marriage.
